Last year we decided to put 3 of our Southdown ewes to a Texel tup and 3 of the ewes to the Southdown tup. All of our Southdown ewes were carrying singles so this year we had 3 pure Southdown lambs – 2 ewes and 1 tup.  :-)

Charlie is a shearing Ram that we bred ourselves.He is one of our best and favourite rams and I have won many prizes with him at local shows.He sired two ewe lambs and one ram lamb.

Here’s a picture of my article in a recent Southdown Sheep Society newsletter. I’m very pleased to see it in print!

Alfie won Best Sheep for under 18′s and came 2nd in the Young Handlers class. Good lad.

Bramble, 2013 ewe lamb (sired by Alfie), came 2nd in the Best Sheep for under 18′s and 3rd in the Young Handlers class.

Overall, I won a tankard for the most points in the Young people’s sheep classes.
